Crimson Casks Compass Box

Compass Box 早幾年不斷推出「較為Premium」 的限定版 Blended Malt。雖然是Blended Malt，由早期不斷挑戰Scotch Whisky Association (SWA) 和EU Regulations 的規例，公開其Blended Malt 的主要成份增加透明度，同時所推出的酒款亦可突顯當中不同酒廠的風格。可見成效顯著。最近Compass Boix演變推出十分相宜的入門款款式，甚受歡迎的Orchard House 評價亦相當不錯 (今年版本卻增加Clynelish 比例），但亦推出以Sherry Cask 為主題的Crimson Casks。

Crimson Casks 用上近 35% 的 “The distillery near the town of Aberlour” （如打開地圖，會找到鄰近酒廠為Macallan, Criagellachie 和 Aberlour，大家認為哪一間需要不能公開酒廠？）和36% Glen Moray 為主，創造出以烏梅、拖肥、車厘子的水果型雪莉桶風味為主的威士忌。成份如下：

– 26.9% Distillery near the town of Aberlour 1st Fill Oloroso Sherry Butt

– 19.7% Glen Moray 1st Fill Oloroso Sherry Butt

– 14.5% Benrinnes 1st Fill Bourbon barrel.

– 11.3% Glen Moray 1st Fill Oloroso Sherry Butt

– 8.4% Distillery near the town of Aberlour 1st Fill Oloroso Sherry Butt

– 7.3% Highland Malt Blend Custom French Oak Barrel (Heavy Toast).

– 6.1% Teaninich 1st Fill Sherry Butt.

– 5.8% Glen Moray Refill Spanish red wine barrique
